About
Our Story
Secret Samaritans was founded in 2024 by a Monarch High School student, Acton Motsick, and his parent, Stacy Motsick, to support fellow students with school-related expenses. The need for assistance became evident after the Marshall Fire in 2022, which caused widespread devastation in the community. Many residents expressed a desire to help but struggled to find a direct way to provide financial support. After careful planning, Secret Samaritans was created to offer a simple and ongoing way for the community to give back to Monarch High School students, all while keeping recipients anonymous. Donors, known as Secret Samaritans, are identified through crowd-sourced contributions from community members.
